Kappa Delta Philanthropy

Kappa Deltas are inspired to act. Kappa Delta makes a difference not only in its members’ lives, but also in the lives of women and children around the world. We take great pride in our efforts to strengthen community service initiatives that build confidence in those around us.

HELPING BUILD GIRLS OF COURAGE, CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER.

In 1998, Kappa Delta Sorority welcomed Girl Scouts of the USA as one of its national philanthropies. Through this incredible partnership, Kappa Delta members make a difference with more than 14,000 girls each year across the country. Kappa Delta is proud to help Girl Scouts “build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.” Kappa Deltas serve as mentors and volunteers, reinforcing our common values of honesty, integrity, friendship and leadership. Collegiate and alumnae chapters host confidence-building programs, educational events, campus tours and other activities with Girl Scouts in their communities.

HELP PREVENT CHILD ABUSE.

Since 1981, Kappa Delta has been a proud supporter of Prevent Child Abuse America, an organization founded by the late Donna Stone, one of our own Kappa Delta sisters. To date, Kappa Delta has donated more than $35 million to prevent child abuse in our country. Thousands of KDs in hundreds of communities nationwide host Shamrock events every year to raise money for national and local child abuse prevention efforts. Kappa Delta is committed to helping strengthen families and improving the lives of children because there’s nothing that destroys a child’s confidence more than abuse.

Gamma Zeta Philanthropy

One of the most meaningful aspects of membership in Kappa Delta is supporting organizations that are close to our chapter’s heart: Prevent Child Abuse America, Girl Scouts of the USA, and our incredible local beneficiary, Alliance For Children. Each year, Gamma Zeta hosts a variety of events, including our annual Shamrock event, Shamrock and Roll. This event helps raise both funds and awareness for these important organizations while bringing together the TCU and Fort Worth communities. Last year, our chapter raised more than $95,000 in support of our philanthropic partners. Kappa Delta is also committed to fostering lifelong learning and confidence in women. In addition to organizing events, Gamma Zeta is passionate about educating chapter members on how they can actively support these missions and continue building confidence in women and girls. Kappa Delta’s commitment to service extends far beyond fundraising—it is about creating meaningful, lasting change in the lives of others.
